Mana er <br />~.. --, ....,~.. ~".~ .,,-- ;.;, - <br /> <br />September 8, 2008 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Appointment of a representative to the Dumbarton Rail Citizens Advisory Panel (CAP) <br />reporting to the Dumbarton Rail Policy Advisory Committee composed of elected <br />officials. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that City Council appoint Planning Commissioner Nancy Radcliffe to <br />the Dumbarton Rail Citizens Advisory Panel. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Mr. Tom Cronin, a Planning Commissioner, served on the Dumbarton Rail Citizens <br />Advisory Panel until April 2008. Ms. Radcliffe has offered to serve once Mr. Cronin was <br />unable to continue serving. To serve on this advisory body one must either live or work <br />in the jurisdiction it is representing, since this body exists as a result of an effort to get <br />residents involved. The meetings are held every two to three months in the various <br />jurisdictions. The lead regional agency for the Dumbarton Rail Project is the San Mateo <br />County Transportation Authority. <br /> <br />Ms. Radcliffe is ready and willing to begin serving immediately in this capacity. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may decide to postpone or not appoint a representative to this advisory body. <br /> <br /> <br />\;;:-.-----/ <br />Peter Ingram <br />City Manager <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />List of Dumbarton Rail Citizens Advisory Panel Members, <br /> <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CITY CLERKtS OFFICE <br />None. <br />
