<br />6.2A <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />September 8, 2008 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Final Acceptance - Redwood Shores Lagoon Sluice Gates Replacement Project <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Accept, by motion, the Redwood Shores Lagoon Sluice Gates Replacement Project and <br />authorize the release of bonds and retention according to city procedures. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />On January 7, 2008, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the <br />Redwood Shores Lagoon Sluice Gates Replacement Project to TerraCon Pipelines, <br />Inc., of Healdsburg, for their lowest responsive bid of $311,012.00. The project has <br />been successfully completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. One (1) <br />change order was issued totaling $7,509.76 - 2.4% of the original contract amount. <br />Change orders resulted from unforeseeable conditions and quantity adjustments. The <br />final contract cost is $318,521.76. <br /> <br />A total of 17 sluice gates were replaced as part of this project.
