<br />6.18 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />PROPOSAL <br /> <br />FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE <br /> <br />2008/2009 - ASPHALT CONCRETE MATERIALS <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />To the Honorable City Council <br />City of Redwood City <br />City Hall <br />Redwood City, California <br /> <br />Dear Council Members: <br /> <br />The undersigned, as a bidder, declares that he has carefully examined the materials <br />to be bid upon, the annexed proposed form of Agreement and the Special Conditions <br />and he proposes and agrees that, if this proposal is accepted, he will contract with <br />the City of Redwood City to provide all of the materials specified in the contract in <br />the manner and time therein set forth required to complete the <br /> <br />2008/2009 . ASPHALT CONCRETE MATERIALS <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Performance of the work shall be in strict conformity with the Specifications <br />prepared therefor by the Director of Public Works Services, copies of which are on <br />file in the office of the Director, which Specifications are hereby made a part thereof. <br /> <br />The bidder proposes and agrees to contract with said City of Redwood City to <br />furnish and perform all of the above described work, including subsidiary <br />obligations as defined in said specifications for the following prices, to wit: <br /> <br />Bidder shall state unit prices below in writing and in figures. In the event of any <br />discrepancy between written prices and figures, the written prices shall control or, at <br />the option of Redwood City, such discrepancy shall constitute grounds for <br />disqualification of the bid. <br /> <br />Bidder shall compute the item cost by multiplying the estimated quantity by the unit <br />price and shall enter the resulting figures in the "Item Cost" column to the nearest <br />cent. In the event of any discrepancy between the Item Cost as computed by bidder <br />and the result of multiplying the estimated quantity by the written unit price, the <br />result of multiplying the estimated quantity by the written unit price shall control. <br /> <br />7 <br />
