Julie Wesoleck, Executive Director for the Sequoia YMCA, thanked the staff and the <br /> committee for their willingness to support this agency. She mentioned some of the <br /> items that the funds are used for. <br /> Bonnie Miller thanked the Council for the allocation of funds to the Salvation Army. She <br /> said that as a member of the committee she valued this kind of work, because it <br /> enriches the community. <br /> M/S Ira/Aguirre to close the Public Hearing. Motion carries by unanimous voice <br /> vote. <br /> M/S Hartnett/Ira to approve the resolution under item 7.A.(1) and the agenda item 7.A. <br /> (2). Motion carries unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Mayor Foust thanked the Housing and Human Concerns committee members and staff <br /> for their hard work on this issue. Council thanked staff and the committee for its hard <br /> work. It was suggested that this come to Council a little earlier next year. One Council <br /> Member supported a dialogue between agencies to see if more savings could occur. <br /> Mayor Foust thanked the staff and Housing Human Concerns Committee and she <br /> confirmed that the motion included the HSFA recommendations (item 7.A 2.). <br /> A(2). Housing and Human Concerns Committee 2008/2009 Funding <br /> Recommendations for the Human Services Financial Assistant (HSFA) <br /> Program. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Direct staff to incorporate the Housing and Human Concerns Committee's <br /> recommendations for HSFA for Fiscal Year 08-09 into the Fiscal Year 08-09 <br /> budget to be presented for review by Council in June. HSFA recommendations <br /> are being presented this evening as part of the overall Annual Action Plan for <br /> the City's use of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) <br /> funds. The Council will take no action at this time. (304) <br /> Minute Order 08-062 <br /> B. Canada College Faculty/Staff Housing Project: (1) Appeal of Planned Development <br /> (PD) Permit conditional approval; (2) General Plan Designation; (3) Pre-Zoning; (4) <br /> Property Tax Exchange; and (5) Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) <br /> housing unit exchange. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1. Deny Appeal, by Miller Starr Regalia on behalf of the Woodhill Estates <br /> Homeowner's Association (HOA), of the Planning Commission's decision <br /> to conditionally approve the Planned Development (PD) Permit for the 60- <br /> unit (Mediterranean Style) Canada College housing project as the PD <br /> permit is no longer at issue — Canada College having withdrawn its <br /> Pianned Development Permit and having re-submitted a new (Arts and <br /> JOINT CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD MEETING APRIL 28, 2008 <br /> MINUTES PAGE 6 <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 62 <br /> Page No. 72 <br />
