MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> November 16, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-268 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: November 17, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> Community Development Director <br /> Public Works Services Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Waive parking fees during the Holiday Season (703) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on November 16, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Bain, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: Hartnett/Bain to approve staff recommendation that similar <br /> parking consideration be made this holiday season as in the 1997- <br /> 98 holiday period and parking meter fees be suspended on certain <br /> streets from the period of Thanksgiving through the second Sunday <br /> in January, 1999. The meter fee suspension area would consist of <br /> approximately 120 meters, located on the blocks adjacent to <br /> Broadway-from Broadway to Marshall (most meters) and <br /> Broadway to Middlefield/Winslow along Main Street, Jefferson <br /> Avenue and Middlefield Road. approximately $4,800 in revenue <br /> would not be collected by this action. <br /> <br /> Adopted by unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br />Interim City Clerk ' <br /> <br /> <br />
