(MIG), is pleased to submit this proposal for MIG to organize and <br />conduct a sixth series of educational forums on urban design issues ("The Forum at Redwood City: <br />A Continuing Conversation on City Design") for the City of Redwood City. This letter of <br />engagement serves as an addendum to our previous contracts for the Forum seasons 1,2,3,4 and 5. <br />listed below is a description of the tasks and associated fee for the production of eight additional <br />Forums (planned for October 2008 through May 2009). As before, Kristen Pickus will serve as <br />Project Manager for this project and will be assisted by additional MIG staff as needed. <br /> <br />City of Redwood City <br />The Forum at Redwood City 2008-2009 <br />MIG Letter of Engagement <br /> <br />TASK: <br /> <br />THE FORUM AT REDWOOD CITY: SIXTH SEASON <br />(SERIES OF 8 ADDITIONAL EVENTS) <br /> <br />Working with City staff, MIG will develop, plan and staff a series of eight additional educational <br />forums, building on the previous sessions held during the first five seasons. Project Manager Kristen <br />Pickus will use her contacts from when she worked for Communities By Design to coordinate and <br />secure top-name speakers in the field of urban design to speak at The Forum at Redwood City. Two <br />MIG staff members will be available on-site at the forums to facilitate, handle registration, take <br />notes and help ensure that the events run smoothly. Tasks listed below will be repeated for each of <br />the eight sessions of the Forum. <br /> <br />MIG responsibilities: <br />· Coordinate by telephone, fax and electronic mail with City staff to coordinate project <br />activities and progress, plan and prepare for next steps in the process, and anticipate and <br />resolve any issues that may arise; <br />· Work with the City to identify and select the topics and potential speakers for the forums; <br /> <br />PLANNING.
