<br />6.38 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Attachment 1 <br /> <br />Amendment to <br />Joint Nondispoal Facility Element <br />November 10,2008 <br /> <br />Facility Name: Ferma Corporation <br /> <br />Type of Facility: <br />. Construction and Demolition/Inert (CDI) Debris Processing Facility and <br />. Wood Debris Chipping & Grinding Facility. Facility equipment includes: <br />chipper, shredder, material screen, grinder, 70KW generator set, and <br />metal & wood sorting conveyors. Proposed operating hours are Mon.-Sat <br />7am-5pm. <br /> <br />Location Description: The Ferma Corporation facilities will be located on Port of <br />Redwood City property at 475 Seaport Boulevard, a three acre site. The site's <br />General Plan designation is "Heavy Industrial" and the Zoning designation is "Gi" <br />(General Industrial). <br /> <br />Facility Capacity: <br />. Col Debris Processing Facility- Peak loading of approximately 25 to 174 <br />tons/day. <br />. C&D Wood Debris Chipping & Grinding Facility- Peak loading of <br />approximately 200 to 500 ton/day. <br /> <br />Anticipated Diversion Rate: According to Ferma Corporation, approximately <br />60-90% 1 of the construction and demolition debris will be diverted and 100% of <br />the wood debris will be diverted from the landfill. <br /> <br />Participating Jurisdictions: Materials generated in San Mateo County and San <br />Mateo County cities will use the recycling facilities. Materials also come from <br />Santa Clara County cities. <br /> <br />1 That portion of the construction and demolition debris that is not diverted will be used as landfill <br />alternative daily cover. <br />
