<br />78 <br />Currently the project is in the conceptual design stage and the environmental clearance Page 2 <br />document is being prepared. The Concept of Operations Report is being finalized and <br />detailed design will follow. The project boundary covers freeway exits from the <br />Candlestick exit to the north, to Embarcadero Road to the south. <br /> <br />The project will be financed by grants obtained through C/CAG and the total project cost <br />is estimated to be $30 million. Staff time would be required from local agencies to <br />attend meetings and review plans. <br /> <br />The final draft of the document San Mateo County Alternative Routes for Traffic Incident <br />Guide and the final draft of the document Concept of Operations Report for the San Mateo <br />County Smart Corridors Program are available for review in the Office of the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Next Steps - A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been prepared by C/CAG for <br />local agencies to adopt and execute. The MOU acknowledges agreement by all parties <br />to work cooperatively to develop this regional project. This MOU will be brought to the <br />City Council on November 27, 2008, so that authorization can be given for the City <br />Manager to execute the same. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />This is an Information Only item, therefore there is no alternative. However, council can <br />choose to direct staff not to continue participating in this effort by C/CAG. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact related to this item at this time.
