ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT <br />COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD. <br /> <br />CALENDAR <br /> <br />CITY <br /> <br />Lorraine Rumley spoke on the recent Sequoia Union High School commencement and <br />thanked the Mayor for speaking at the event. She commented on the school's university <br />prep study programs, the success of the students and the many scholarships awarded. <br />She commented on Redwood City's pride in their school and how it was mentioned in a <br />recent Newsweek article. <br /> <br />Pat Gemma, Superintendent of Sequoia Schools echoed Ms. Rumley's comments. He <br />informed and updated Council and the community on the construction plan phases for the <br />school. <br /> <br />Mayor Foust thanked both speakers and she encouraged community members to come to <br />Council meetings and, through public comments, note and speak on their own community <br />efforts and other group activities. <br /> <br />Greg Greenway, Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber, congratulated Peter Ingram <br />on his position as City Manager. He invited the community to two events, the Progress <br />Seminar Remix (policy issues discussions) and the Chamber Leadership. <br /> <br />Mayor Foust directed Council to their packets and the most current contract for the City <br />Manager's position since updates had been made. <br /> <br />5.1 Section - Motions <br /> <br />A. Agreement between the City of Redwood City and Redwood City School District. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement between the City <br />of Redwood City, as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 (RC 2020), and Redwood <br />City School District to support the Redwood City Community Schools for FY 2007- <br />2008.
