<br />ATTACHMENT #3 <br /> <br />6.3A <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR <br />BOATING SAFETY AND ENFORCEMENT PATROL BOAT CONTRACT <br /> <br />ARTICLE I - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />A. CONTRACT means the contract to which these standard terms and <br /> <br />conditions are appended. <br /> <br />B. PATROL BOAT means a DEPARTMENT approved, heavy a~umlnum, equipped <br /> <br />boat [with or without trailer and/or outboard motor] purchased for <br /> <br />use in boating safety and law enforcement activities. <br /> <br />C. GRANTEE FUNDS mean any funds provided by the GRANTEE for the <br /> <br />operation and maintenance of the PATROL BOAT. <br /> <br />D. GRANT means a grant, using FEDERAL FUNDS, made by the DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />to the GRANTEE to finance all or part of the PURCPASE COSTS. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II - TERM OF CONTRACT <br /> <br />A. The term of this CONTRACT shall begin on the effective date of the <br /> <br />CONTRACT and shall continue until 2015 unless terminated earlier <br /> <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions of this CONTRACT. <br /> <br />B. No amendment or variation of the terms of this CONTRACT shall be <br /> <br />valid unless made in writing, signed by the DEPARTMENT, GRANTEE, <br /> <br />AND approved as required. No oral understanding or CONTRACT not <br /> <br />incorporated in the CONTRACT is binding on any of the parties. <br /> <br />1 <br />
