Presentation: Redwood City Library Foundation Donation to Redwood City Public <br /> Library — Sandra Cooperman, President of the Library Foundation <br /> Board and Rudy Madrigal, Library Board President. <br /> Mayor Foust invited library staff, Council and other members of the public to come forward <br /> and be acknowledged. Ms. Cooperman presented a check in the amount of $850,000 for <br /> the Redwood Shores Library. Ms. Cooperman thanked individuals, organizations, <br /> businesses and the community who made this contribution possible. The Mayor also <br /> recognized Paula Uccelli as the co-chair of the fundraising committee. Rudy Madrigal, <br /> President of the Library Board, spoke about the Library Foundation's mission and expressed <br /> sincere thanks for such large donation that will benefit the community. Mayor Foust <br /> expressed her "Redwood City Pride". <br /> 6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY <br /> COUNCIIJREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD <br /> Joshua Klein spoke on the Sequoia High School re-routing parking project and its impact on <br /> the neighborhood. He opined that there had been little advance notice, nor definitive <br /> information about the project. <br /> Michael Grove spoke on the Elwood Street project and his additionel traffic concerns. He � <br /> stated he has collected signatures and asked for the Council's support in trying to solve this <br /> issue and working out a solution with the school board. <br /> Gita Dev complimented the City on its Downtown Plan, and hoped the energies and <br /> resources of the City would be concentrated there. She stated the Open Space ballot <br /> measure had been successful, and urged Council to support this as well.
