PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Diane Howard, Vice Mayor <br /> 4. INVOCATION — Chaplain Dennis Logie, Redwood City Police Department <br /> 5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY <br /> COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD. <br /> Lorraine Rumley spoke on the recent Sequoia Union High School commencement and <br /> thanked the Mayor for speaking at the event. She commented on the school's university <br /> prep study programs, the success of the students and the many scholarships awarded. <br /> She commented on Redwood City's pride in their school and how it was mentioned in a <br /> recent Newsweek article. <br /> Pat Gemma, Superintendent of Sequoia Schools echoed Ms. Rumley's comments. He <br /> informed and updated Council and the community on the construction plan phases for the <br /> school. <br /> Mayor Foust thanked both speakers and she encouraged community members to come to <br /> Council meetings and, through public comments, note and speak on their own community <br /> efforts and other group activities. <br /> Greg Greenway, Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber, congratulated Peter Ingram <br /> on his position as City Manager. He invited the community to two events, the Progress <br /> Seminar Remix (policy issues discussions) and the Chamber Leadership. <br /> Mayor Foust directed Council to their packets and the most current contract for the City <br /> Manager's position since updates had been made. <br /> 5.1 Section — Motions <br /> A. Agreement between the City of Redwood City and Redwood City School District. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement between the Ciry <br /> of Redwood City, as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 (RC 2020), and Redwood <br /> City School District to support the Redwood City Community Schools for FY 2007- <br /> 2008.
