<br />6.18 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT <br /> <br />City of Redwood City <br />Public Works Services Department <br />Wastewater Management Services Division <br /> <br />Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) <br />Development Plan and Schedule <br /> <br />October 9,2008 <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City is developing a Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) in <br />compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) Order <br />No. 2006-0003-DWQ, Statewide General Wa.'ite Discharge Requirements for Sanitary <br />Sewer Systems (WDR), and with the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control <br />Board's (Regional Water Board's) July 7, 2005 letter requiring the development ofa <br />Sewer System Management Plan. <br /> <br />The State Water Board content requirements for the SSMP are described in the WDR. <br />The Regional Water Board's content requirements for the SSMP are explained in detail <br />in the Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) Development Guide, July 2005. The <br />State Water Board and Regional Water Board content requirements are similar. <br />However, Regional Water Board deadlines are earlier than State Water Board deadlines. <br /> <br />The City began development of the SSMP in 2006, and is currently in the process of <br />completing this docwnentation. A comparison of State Water Board and Regional Water <br />Board SSMP deadlines, in conjunction with the City's SSMP development schedule is <br />shown in Table 1. A brief explanation of the required SSMP elements and development <br />status is shown in Table 2. <br />
