<br />City Manager Ingram stated staff has attended all meetings in this regard. He stated the <br />District changed its plans and staff has been monitoring the construction for any variances <br />in the initial plan. He stated they are reconfiguring circulation of traffic in the area. He <br />stated his staff would come back with information on safety in the streets and adherence to <br />the permits. <br /> <br />Mayor Foust announced an upcoming Council meeting on September 22, 2008 with the <br />City Council, the High School and Elementary School Districts coming together to talk <br />about strategic plans and visions, which are not related to this current issue, but is by <br />example a situation where there are joint meetings on a variety of issues. <br /> <br />Claire Felong, spoke on the environmental goals for Redwood City and the importance of <br />paying attention to parking and traffic plans. She suggested more focus on environmental <br />concerns and encouraging car pooling, bikes, etc. <br /> <br />MIS PierceNice Mayor Howard to approve the Consent Calendar. Award of Contract - Veterans Boulevard Storm Drain Pump Station Electrical <br />Upgrade Project. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve, by motion, the contract documents and award the contract for the <br />Veterans Boulevard Storm Drain Pump Station Electrical Upgrade Project to the <br />lowest responsible bidder, Pleasanton Engineering Contractors, Inc., of Pleasanton <br />for their responsive and responsible low bid of $349,563.00 and authorize the City <br />Manager to increase the contract amount up to 10% if necessary. Amendment NO.3 to the 2005-2006 Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance <br />Agreement with the Professional Tree Care Company, Inc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Approve by motion, Amendment No. 3 to the 2005-2006 Comprehensive Street <br />Tree Maintenance Agreement with The Professional Tree Care Company, Inc. in <br />the amount of $230,333, and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract <br />amount, if.necessary, up to 10% of the amount awarded.
