<br />6.18 <br />ATTACHMENT 1 Page 3 <br /> <br />FUNDING AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE YMCA OF MID PENINSULA - SEQUOIA YMCA <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />. by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and YMCA of the Mid Peninsula - Sequoia <br />YMCA, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"; collectively the "Parties"). <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve certain facilities and provide <br />certain outreach services (the "Project) to individuals who are residents of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to finance, in <br />whole or in part, the Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2008, and ending June 30, 2009 (the "Fiscal Year"); and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed Contractor's request and the Project and desires <br />to allocate a certain sum of money from its Community Development Block Grant funds <br />for the Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twenty Eight Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Four and 60/100 Dollars ($28,694.60) for <br />exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2008, and <br />ending June 30, 2009, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS; ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW. (a) Contractor will use the <br />funds provided pursuant to Paragraph 1 solely for the Project purposes described in <br />Exhibit A ("Programs") and Exhibit B ("Quantitative Goals"), attached hereto and by this <br />reference incorporated herein: (b) prior to the commencement of the Project, Contractor <br />shall complete the Environmental Review for the Project, and, in connection therewith, <br /> <br />A TTY/AGR/2008.113 <br />112608 <br /> <br />1 <br />
