Background <br />•Council Member Diane Howard and Linda Griffiths, <br />Community Services Manager, spearheaded effort with the <br />Alliance along with Shuttle Stakeholder group comprised of <br />City staff, community stakeholders such as Senior Affairs <br />Commission, Housing and Human Concerns, SamTrans and <br />C/CAG of San Mateo County. <br />•1/8/2007 City Council approved Phase 1 of the community <br />shuttle service pilot program -the commuter shuttle route <br />serving employers who financially contribute. <br />•3/10/2008 Council approved Phase 2 –the on-demand <br />community shuttle.
