<br />the community at large to improve the quality of life in Redwood City for <br />children, youth and families. <br /> <br />b. To provide oversight and support to ongoing collaborative <br />efforts and programs that are working toward Redwood City 2020's agreed <br />upon outcomes (Community Schools in Redwood City School District, the <br />Sequoia Teen Resource Center and Wellness Center, and a new <br />Community Youth Development Initiative) <br /> <br />2. Term. This agreement shall be effective from July 1, 2008 until <br />June 30, 2009. <br /> <br />3. Structure of Redwood City 2020. <br /> <br />a. Coordinatinq Council. The Redwood City 2020 Coordinating <br />Council is composed of up to two representatives from each of the <br />collaborative partner's governing boards. <br /> <br />b. Cabinet. The Redwood City 2020 Cabinet is composed of one <br />executive leader from each of the partner institutions - the City, County, <br />Elementary School District, High School District, Kaiser Permanente, the <br />John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities, the Sequoia <br />Healthcare District and Canada College. <br /> <br />c. The Coordinating Council and the Cabinet follow the structure <br />described in Exhibit A (Governance Structure), which is attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />4. Redwood City 2020 Staff. It is understood that Redwood City 2020 <br />will require the services of an Executive Director and related support staff for its <br />day- to-day operations. The Cabinet has designated the City of Redwood City to <br />contract for the Executive Director, Administrative Secretary and necessary staff <br />positions on behalf of RC 2020. The City serves as the fiscal agent for the <br />employees and related expenses. <br />5. Fundinq. Each of the Parties shall contribute at least twenty-five <br />thousand dollars ($25,000) annually to support the work of Redwood City 2020. <br />The County of San Mateo acknowledge that they will make a fifty thousand dollar <br />($50,000) contribution for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 within sixty (60) days after <br />execution of this Membership Agreement. <br /> <br />a. As Fiscal Agent, the City is authorized to receive money on <br />behalf of Redwood City 2020 and deposit same into a special deposit <br />account in the City's General Fund. The money received on behalf of <br />Redwood City 2020 shall be disbursed as requested by the Redwood City <br />2020 Executive Director in writing, subject to City administrative <br />procedures. <br /> <br />Atty/Agr/RC2020 Master Agreement <br />040104 <br /> <br />2 <br />
