MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> BUDGET SESSION <br /> <br /> July 6, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-175 <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: July 8, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Request for additional funding from the CHAMBER OF <br />COMMERCE (501) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on July 6, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Bain, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: CLA1RE/HARTNETT TO APPROVE A TOTAL OF $37,500 FOR <br /> CONTRACT SERVICES WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR <br /> FY 1998/99 <br /> <br /> Mayor Howard said the Chamber had not had an increase for over nine <br /> years, and considering their work for the City and their willingness to join <br /> partnerships in the community, she said the increase was well deserved. <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOICE VOTE. <br /> AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS BAIN, CLAIRE, HARTNETT, IRA, <br /> RUSKIN AND MAYOR HOWARD <br /> NOES: COUNCIL MEMBER LEIPZIG <br /> <br /> <br />
