.., o o StoVC :wb 4/30/81 RES 0 L UTI 0 N ~Q.. ~ ORIGINAL JUN 1 1981 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH MIDPENINSULA CITIZENS FOR FAIR HOUSING (DISCRIMINATION AUDIT) WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is concerned that equal housing opportunities be provided to residents and potential residents of Redwodd City to the extent that the financial capacity of such residents and potential residents so permits; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to determine the nature and extent of illegal housing discrimination in the City of Redwood City, most particularly for rental housing; and WHEREAS, Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing has represented to the City that it is experienced in providing services in the area of illegal housing discrimination; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement for the performance of an audit to determine the nature and extent of illegal discrimination in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council to enter into said agreement; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement entitled "Agreement (Discrimina- tion Audit) "(form dated 4/30/81 R) by and between the City of Redwood City and Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved; and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 8866
