<br />'~....a <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />sO:djg-c <br /> <br />8/20/81 <br /> <br />."-- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8944 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL' <br />AUG 24 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR HAWES PARK COMFORT STATION; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS' RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8896, adopted July 13, 1981, <br /> <br />wherein this Council rejected all bids for the Hawes Park Confort <br /> <br />Station, and approved revised specifications therefor, the City Clerk <br /> <br />again called for bids for the Construction of the Hawes Park Comfort <br /> <br />Station in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L de K Construction Company, Mountain View, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to said L de K Construction Company. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO~.vS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of L'de K Construction Company in the amount of <br /> <br />Forty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-seven and No/lOO Dollars <br /> <br />($48,867.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />August 11, 1981, for the Construction of the Hawes Park Comfort <br /> <br />Station, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph <br /> <br />1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />agreement entitled "Agreement" by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />8944 <br />
