6.H. - Page 1 of 29 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: February 22, 2021 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Agreement for a permit system upgrade and new software maintenance with CentralSquare <br />Technologies, LLC <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement for a permit system <br />upgrade and new software maintenance with CentralSquare Technologies, LLC (CentralSquare) for an <br />initial three-year term in the amount of $290,000 and an optional one-year renewal term in the amount <br />of $80,000, for a total period of four years and not -to -exceed amount of $370,000. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On January 28, 2002, City Council approved an agreement with CRW Systems, Inc. (CRW) for their <br />"TRAKiT" software system. Since 2002, the Community Development & Transportation Department (CDT) <br />has been utilizing "TRAKiT" permitting software to issue and track planning, building, and engineering <br />permits through an initial agreement with CRW. In 2015, SunGard Public Sector acquired CRW and <br />assumed the rights and responsibilities for the TRAKiT software. Subsequently, CentralSquare acquired <br />the TRAKiT software application in 2018. <br />The City entered into the existing TRAKiT software maintenance agreement in 2016 for a five-year term, <br />which is expiring on February 28, 2021.
