Kockos <br />Redwood City CA 94065 <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />Based on a recent experience with very relaxed service standards and a failure of Recology to not <br />recognize that most people in the Area are struggling — I formally protest their rate increase request. <br />Fuel costs are down, labor is in high supply and the effective rates for recycled materials is up. We, as <br />citizens also help them sort their recycling weekly like employees of the company. <br />The City Council should take a hard look at this request and audit exactly what their needs really are. <br />Makes no difference that it is only a 2.57% increase or not. Most areas of the economy have actually <br />deflated and not inflated. Some industries are being wiped out. They don't get a pay raise, nor should <br />the waste company. Use your clout and your power to push back versus a rubber stamp that I believe <br />Recology believes is in the making here. <br />Kind Re ards <br />S <br />
