WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has accepted, adopted and committed <br />to implement the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Management Plan for 1998- <br />2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Flood Control District Act, as amended <br />by the State Legislature in 1992 (Assembly Bill 2635), authorizes the San Mateo <br />County Flood Control District to impose charges to fund storm water drainage <br />programs, such as the above - described NPDES Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Program charges to fund a $780,000 Budget for <br />the San Mateo Countywide NPDES Program, per Assessor's Parcel Number <br />( "APN "), for Fiscal Year 2001/02 are: Single Family Resident: $3.44 /APN; <br />Miscellaneous, Agriculture, Vacant and Condominium: $1.71 /APN; and Other Land <br />Uses: base rate of $3.44 /APN for the first 11,000 square feet plus $0.3127 per <br />1,000 additional square feet of parcel area; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby requests the San Mateo County Board of <br />Supervisors, acting as the governing board of the San Mateo County Flood Control <br />District, to impose the above - stated charges upon the corresponding categories of <br />parcels of real property located within the City of Redwood City necessary to fund <br />the San Mateo Countywide NPDES General Program for Fiscal Year 2001 -2002 for <br />collection upon the tax roll. <br />Reso -1143 2 <br />DES:djk <br />Shared/Redwood/Council <br />05/01/01 <br />1 A91G <br />
