02/25/2009 <br />WHEREAS, the County Energy Strategy is one piece of a concerted effort <br />countywide called "CO2 San Mateo County" to take action on climate change, including <br />a new County staff person to provide support to the Cities, a new partnership with <br />PG &E called San Mateo County Energy Watch to fund energy efficiency projects in the <br />county, and other resources available to Cities from several nonprofit organizations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City adopts the San Mateo County <br />Energy Strategy. <br />2. The City commits to pursuing the next steps recommended by the <br />Strategy: committing to working collaboratively with other Cities and the County <br />towards the goals of the Energy Strategy and releasing energy and water utility data <br />to the County and C /CAG for tracking purposes. <br />ATTY /RESO /RESO.1884 14923 <br />021009 MUFF # 205 <br />
