MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> February 9, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-043 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: February 12, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Redwood Shores Bike Path and Sidewalks (100, 203) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on February 9, 1998. <br /> <br /> Present:Councilmembers Claire, Harmett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> E. Terry Anderlini, 619 Marlin Court, addressed item 2.D. on the Consent <br /> Calendar, a Resolution approving contract documents for a bike path along <br /> Redwood Shores Parl~vay, and said Redwood Shores residents had not been <br /> notified or included in this process. <br /> <br /> City Manager Everett said that this project had previously been discussed at a <br /> Redwood Shores Home Owners Association in November 1997, but many in <br /> the audience said that was not their recollection. <br /> <br /> Mayor Howard said the proposed bike path was in part an answer to <br /> complaints from Redwood Shores residents that Redwood Shores Parkway <br /> needed sidewalks. She said the proposed bike path was a part of that solution. <br /> <br /> Mr. Anderlini said the Redwood Shores community needed to have input on <br /> these types of projects, and asked that the Council focus on better <br /> communications with the residents of Redwood Shores. <br /> <br /> In response to Council questions, Engineering and Construction Manager <br /> Patterson described the planned asphalt paving to fix existing problem areas <br /> from Bridge Parkway to Shell. <br /> <br /> <br />
