c. 1414 Main Street (APN 053-188-020): Rezone from the Industrial <br /> Restricted (IR) to the General Commercial-Combined Residential <br /> (CG-R) Zoning District. <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING <br /> ARTICLE 60, ZONING MAP NO. 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, TO REZONE PROPERTIES GENERALLY <br /> LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF CEDAR AND MAIN STREETS, AS FURTHER <br /> DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, FROM THE EXISTING ZONING DISTRICTS TO <br /> THE GENERAL COMMERCIAL-COMBINED RESIDENTIAL (CG-R) DISTRICT <br /> Minute Order 08-223 <br /> Charles Jany, Senior Planner, introduced the item and gave a brief report. <br /> Council Member Pierce would like staff to look into something that they do in Monterey <br /> which is to have homeowners of Mills Act properties give back to the community by <br /> showcasing their homes. This would be a way to enrich the community as a whole. Mr. <br /> Jany concurred and will add that to agendas of respective Boards, Commissions and <br /> Committees that make recommendations and vote on this matter. <br /> Mayor Foust opened the public hearing. There was no public comment. <br /> M/S Ira/Bain to close the Public Hearing. Motion carries unanimously with Council <br /> Member Aguirre absent. <br /> M/S Hartnett/Ira to approve resolution. Motion carries unanimously with Council <br /> Member Aguirre absent. <br /> M/S Pierce/Bain to introduce the zoning ordinance. Motion carries unanimously with <br /> Council Member Aguirre absent. <br /> 9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br /> City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br /> Priority Focus Bulletin No. 43-2008. Council may direct staff to act on positions <br /> taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available <br /> in City Clerk's Department). <br /> Mayor Foust referred to what a speaker had mentioned on item 7.A that the Planning <br /> Commission had a brief transcription of the comments from the September 27, 2008 <br /> workshop. Ms. Ekas said that there was a brief summary that was prepared last week. <br /> Mayor Foust wanted the Council to get a copy of such summary. <br /> 10. ADJOURNMENT — M/S Foust/Howard to adjourn the meeting at 10:13 p.m. in <br /> memory of Mary "Ma" Fillipi at who passed away at the age of 84.
