The City currently allows duplexes <br />in the R-2, R-G, R-3, R-4, and R-S zones, with a minimum lot size of 7,500 <br />square feet. <br /> <br />Objective: <br />. Explore revised minimum lot size standards for duplexes. <br />Complete a study that assesses parcels affected, potential <br />housing units produced, and potential impacts. <br /> <br />Timeframe: Complete small lot duplex development study <br />by 2011. <br />Responsible Agency: Community Development Services Department- <br />Planning Division and Housing Division <br />Funding Sources: Departmental Budget <br /> <br />Action H,17: Plan for the Adequate Provision of lVater <br />The primary infrastructure constraint in Redwood City Is the availability <br />of water. The City has implemented one of the most aggressive water <br />conservation programs in the region, as well as a far-reaching recycled <br />water project. These measures have and will continue to decrease the <br />City's demands upon the Hetch Hetchy water supply. <br /> <br />Objectives: <br />. Continue to require water conservation measures in all new <br />developments and implement water conservation measures in <br />City facilities. <br />. Encourage developments to use water conservation measures <br />to meet the requirements of the Draft Green Building <br />Ordinance. <br />. Require developers of large-scale projects to ensure adequate <br />water supply for each new project. <br />. Immediately following adoption, deliver the 2009-2014 <br />Redwood City Housing Element to providers of sewer and water <br />service within Redwood City. <br /> <br />
