<br />.. <br />.. <br /> <br />,A <br /> <br />SWC 'jg-c 8/3/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 8 93 7 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 1 0 1~81 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OvVNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF (SAILBOATS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of 6 El Toro Sailboats, <br /> <br />with rigging and a trailer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property <br /> <br />is not needed for present or prospective municipal or public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare <br /> <br />said property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with <br /> <br />Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council hereby finds that 6 El Toro sailboats with <br /> <br />rigging and a trailer are not now needed for any municipal or public <br /> <br />purposes and will not be needed for any municipal or public purposes in <br /> <br />the future, and hereby declares said property to be surplus property. <br /> <br />2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />advertise such surplus property for sale to the general public in accordance <br /> <br />with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. Said sale <br /> <br />shall be conducted in accordance with the bid documents and the following <br /> <br />terms: <br /> <br />(a) Sealed bids, upon notice called therefore, shall be <br /> <br />received for said property until the date and time fixed by the <br /> <br />City Clerk and sent out in the notice of sale, and, at the time <br /> <br />and dated fixed, City Manager shall open the bids received pursuant <br /> <br />to advertisement therefor, and determine the highest bid received <br /> <br />for said property; <br /> <br />(b) No sealed bid submitted may be withdrawn pending award <br /> <br />or rejection of the bids. The City reserves the right to reject <br /> <br />all bids and to award as a lump sum or on an individual item by <br /> <br />item basis. In no event will the City accept less than 90 percent <br /> <br />8937 <br />
