<br /><II- <br /> <br />,~... <br /> <br />CGN ~ .J g-c 7/31/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />8931 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br />AUG 1 0 1981 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AN APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS ACT <br />1980 FUNDS FOR HOOVER SCHOOL PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the People of the State of California have adopted <br /> <br />the California Parklan&Act of 1980 at a special election consolid- <br /> <br />ated with the general election held on November 4, 1980, the pro- <br /> <br />visions of which make available funds to certain local governments <br /> <br />of the State of California for acquiring areas for recreation, <br /> <br />conservation and preservation to ~ncourage the providing of <br /> <br />recreational opportunities and facilities for citizens of Calif- <br /> <br />ornia; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has been <br /> <br />delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, <br /> <br />and has established necessary procedures governing applications <br /> <br />by local agencies under this program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Director of <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation require an applicant to certify by resolution <br /> <br />the approval of applications prior to submission of said <br /> <br />applications to the State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said applications contain a certification that an <br /> <br />applicant will comply with all Federal, State, and local environ- <br /> <br />mental, public health, relocation, affirmative action, and clearing <br /> <br />house requirements, park and recreation plan, and all other approp- <br /> <br />riate codes, laws and regulations prior to the expendibure of <br /> <br />California Parklands Act of 1980 Funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development of Hoover School Park is of a high <br /> <br />priority and satisfies the most urgent park and recreation needs <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />8931 <br />
