<br />.. <br /> <br />SWC:djg-c 7/15/81 <br />SWC:rk 7/17/81 R <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />8915 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 2 0 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INTERIM SERVICES FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR AND SUSPENDING BIDDING AND NOTICE <br />REQUIREMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Minute Order No. 81-81 adopted May 19, 1981, this <br /> <br />Council authorized a change order extending the existing agreement with <br /> <br />Signal Maintenance, Inc., to July 1, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will need additional time to implement an in <br /> <br />house traffic signal maintenance capability; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Signal Maintenance, Inc., is willing to perform interim <br /> <br />emergency services for traffic signal maintenance and repair for three <br /> <br />additional months, the estimated cost of which services exceeds $10,000; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that suspension of usual bidding and <br /> <br />notice requirements would be in the public interest because Signal <br /> <br />Maintenance, Inc. is the only private contractor willing and able to <br /> <br />perform said services; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />This Council hereby suspends usual bidding and notice requirements, <br /> <br />and authorizes the Director of Public Works to issue a change order to <br /> <br />the existing agreement with Signal Maintenance, Inc., for the performance <br /> <br />of emergency services for traffic signal maintenance and repair, for an <br /> <br />interim period until October 1, 1981, on a time and material basis at an <br /> <br />amount not to exceed $15,000.00 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8 915 <br />
