ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> for <br /> TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM - REDWOOD FAMILY HOUSE <br /> <br /> SHELTER NETWORK OF SAN MATEO COUNTY ) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~-L~~' day of <br /> ~j~.L~_~, 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and SHELTER <br />NETWORK OF SAN MATEO COUNTY, a California nonprofit corporation <br />("Contractor"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a transitional housing program for <br />homeless resident families of the City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the total sum <br />of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, <br />solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2.
