<br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that Council make appointments to the following bodies: <br />Architectural Review Committee (one alternate seat - vacant since 2008), Home <br />Improvement Loan Committee (three seats), Library Board (two seats), and <br />Planning Commission (three seats). <br /> <br />City Attorney Yamamoto made comments regarding the residency requirement. Mayor <br />Foust explained that Council could always reopen the recruitment should the candidates <br />not be sufficient for a certain appointment. Mr. Yamamoto explained the Architectural <br />Review Committee requirements. On the Home Improvement Loan Committee Mr. <br />Yamamoto explained that special knowledge applies for membership. <br /> <br />M/S Pierce/Bain to extend the meeting until 12:25 a.m. Motion carries 6-0 by voice vote <br />with Council Member Ira absent. <br /> <br />Architectural Review Committee <br />Applications received to fill one alternate four-year term, expiring May 31, 2012 <br />(Alternate Seat vacant since 2008): <br /> <br />. David Terpening (applicants' second choice is Planning Commission)** <br /> <br />The appointee to the Architectural Review Committee is Jackson Hull with six votes <br />from the Council Members present. James Oschner (incumbent) <br />. Avichai Yotam* (applicants' second choice is Library Board) <br />. Ali Zebila (applicants' second choice is Senior Affairs Commission) <br /> <br />Council appointed two applicants to the Home Improvement Loan Committee. They were <br />William Buttler with six votes and James Oschner with six votes. Applicant Avichai <br />Yotam received one vote from Vice Mayor Howard. Mayor Foust explained that Council <br />might consider reopening the recruitment process for this seat.
