DES:djk 06/01/95 (123/39) <br /> <br /> ~ R I G I N A L - 6/12/95 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12486 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A <br /> TRUCK CRANE HOIST MECHANISM AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br />competitive bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Services Department requires the <br />modification of an existing truck crane to efficiently clean and <br />remove debris from creeks, increase its capacity to safely handle <br />larger and heavier trench plates and to continue to lift pumps at <br />the City's pumping facilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the replacement of <br />said existing truck crane hoist mechanism in an amount not to <br />exceed Twenty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-seven and 65/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($27,537.65); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the purchase and <br />installation of a new truck crane hoist mechanism to the City of <br />Redwood City from Western Traction Company of Union City, <br />California in an amount not to exceed Twenty-seven Thousand Five <br />Hundred Thirty-seven and 65/100 Dollars ($27,537.65). <br /> <br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br />and installation authorized herein (in form approved by the City <br />Attorney) for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
