<br />~ '.'4lf <br /> <br />1li1;. ..,.,.. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS the number of accidents on the Bayshore high~ is <br /> <br />increasing to a point where the highw~ is becoming unsafe for public use, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the underpass structure on :Bay-shore highway at South <br /> <br />San Fl"ancisco is a contributing factor to these sc'cidents, and <br /> <br />~~4S this structure is too small to handle peak traffic <br /> <br />loads, impedes ordinary daily travel and is particularly hazardous by reason <br /> <br />of a. blind curve, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the increasing traffic load and increasing number <br /> <br />of accidents demand that this situation be given immediate attention~ now <br /> <br />therefore <br /> <br />BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City that we urge the State Highway Division to widen the underpass at South <br /> <br />San Francisco as soon as possible, to provide for separate north and south <br /> <br />bound traffic lanes, in the interests of public safetY'and in the interests <br /> <br />of facilitating peninsula automobile traffic. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Adopted this 20th day of November, 1933 by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />~ .~. <br /> <br /> <br />&f4~i; <br />A.i S~+ ~ <br /><;'~~1~ <br /> <br />"r\.-( (3 l <br />
