FXS:df ~ 5/18/95 (007/40) <br /> _ 5/18/95R <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 5/22/95 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12466 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br /> EQUIPMENT FOR INSTALLATION AT JEFFERSON AVENUE AND <br /> HAWES STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br />solicited for the purchase of poles, mast arms and luminaire arms <br />("Signal Equipment") for installation at Jefferson Avenue and <br />Hawes Street in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation two bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the solicitation was made to contractors with <br />existing relationships with manufacturers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />on May 22, 1995, the City Council of the City of Redwood City has <br />waived by motion of at least five (5) members of the Council the <br />bidding requirements of Section 2.65 of the Redwood City Code; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, Inc., of <br />Sacramento, California, is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to accept the bid of said <br /> <br />Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Richard A. Heaps Electrical Contractor, <br />Inc., of Sacramento, California, for the sale of poles, mast arms <br />and luminaire arms for installation at Jefferson Avenue and Hawes <br /> <br /> <br />
