Rolison, <br />Ci ty Manager, <br />Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />Dear Sir: <br /> <br /> <br />Receipt is acknowledged of your letter of April <br /> <br />16th, enclosing resolution passed by the City Council of' <br /> <br />Redwood City on April 15th, requesting the widening and <br /> <br /> <br />improvement of EI Camino Real., through Redwood City, to a <br /> <br />width of 100', to be financed from federal funds made <br /> <br />available under the Work Relief Bill. Your resolution <br /> <br /> <br />further states that the ,city's share of the gas tax for the <br /> <br /> <br />coming biennium, as well as the unobligated balance in the <br /> <br />present biennium, will be available for the acquisition of <br /> <br />right of way. <br /> <br />Your communication will be made a matter of record <br /> <br />for consideration by the California Highway Commission in <br /> <br /> <br />the preparation of a budget for the expenditure o~ these <br /> <br /> <br />federal funds. However, at the present time, we have no <br /> <br />definite information as to the total allotment to California <br /> <br />or the allocations to be made to the'various classifications, <br /> <br /> <br />inasmuch as this act gives the President power to make trans- <br /> <br />fers wi thin the various allotments. <br /> <br />Yours very truly, <br />C.
