<br />-' <br /> <br />l!!Q.~[lIQH <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, under and by virtue of Chapter 642 of the Statutes of 1935, <br />the Department of Public Works of the State of California is authorized to <br />expend or cause to be expended from the State Highway Fund an amount not less <br />than the net revenue derived from one-quarter cent per gallon tax on motor <br />ruel, on State Highways within cities for the purposes specified in said <br />Chapter, and in the manner provided by la.w, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of said Chapter 642 and <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 75 and Section 100 of the Streets <br />'and Highways Code (Chapter 29 of the Statutes of 1935), the Department of <br />Public Works, acting by and through the' California. Highway Commission, has <br />designated as a State Highway the following described streets in the <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, SA.N MATEO COtJN1l'Y <br /> <br />Route 107. Within Redwood City <br /> <br />2.28 miles <br /> <br />Beginning at the southwesterly city limits of Redwood <br />City on the Woodside-La Honda Road, thence northerly over <br />Woodside Road about 1.3 miles to junction ofEl Camino Real <br />and Main Street, thence northwesterly over Main Street about <br />0.5 mile to Maple Street intersection, thence northerly over <br />Main Street about 0.5 mile to a junction with State Highway <br />Route 6g, a distance of 2.2'8 miles more or less within the <br />corporate limits of Redwood City; <br /> <br />whiCh said streets are existing travelable streets in the City of Redwood Oity, <br />and approximately on the route of the authorized State Highw~, and <br /> <br />WBIREAS, the Director of Public Works and the California Highw~ Co~ <br />mission have requested the City of Redwood City to. approve the routing herein- <br />before described and to agree to resume jurisdiction over said streets, or <br />. portions thereof, as may not be included in the State Highway, when the same <br />is laid out, adopted, and constructed, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City acting <br />on behalf of saidCi ty, that said City approve ,and it does hereby a.pprove, the <br />routing of said State Highway; <br /> <br />That upon the relinquishment of said streets, or any portions, thereof, <br />to the Oi ty of Redwood City in the manner provided by law, said C1 ty will, and <br />does hereby agree to, re6Ume jurisdiction over sa.id streets, or portions thereof, <br />so relinquished. <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City at its regular meeting held on the 3d day of September, <br />1935, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Oouncilmen: C.
