<br />Rl!Q.~Y.~lQ[ <br /> <br />1BERElS, the project proposal for the construction of Unit MBM <br />Section 1, of a reinforced concrete storm w&ter culvert along the easterly <br />side of Woodside Road, signed jointly as sponsors by the County of San <br />Mateo and the City of Redwood City, ~s submitted to the lorks Progress <br />Admini stration, was figured at the security wage rates of $44. - $50. - <br />$63. - $69., first approved for San Mateo County, and which rates have since <br />been raised to $55. - $65. - $g5. - $94., and as it appears that the' FederaI <br />allotment approved for this project cannot be raised, and as the immediate <br />construction of this unit is of urgent importa.nce for the protection and <br />safeguarditlg of life and property, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Redwood City agrees on <br />behalf of said City Jointly, with the County of San Mateo, to assume the <br />responsibility of completing this project at the expense of the sponsors <br />if and when the Federal Funds now allotted, or which may hereafter be al- <br />lotted, to the project are exhausted, <br /> <br />A'ND :BE IT FURTHER BESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be <br />presented before the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County at its next <br />meeting by the ~or of the City of Redwood City, and that said Board of <br />Supervisors, on behalf of San Mateo County, be a~ed to join with the City <br />of Redwood City. in the agreement, hereinabove stated, with the Federal Works <br />Progress Administration. <br /> <br />-=::a <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City at its regular meeting held on' the 21st dq of <br />October, 1935, by the following vote: <br /> <br />~es and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br /> <br />.
