Floral and Vegetable Display and Pageant of great significance <br />to the entire County, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this "Floral Fiesta" created a unified interest and <br />a spirit of cooperation on the part of the citizens which was most grati- <br />fyi ng, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a greater interest and cooperation could and would <br />have been manifested had the people better understood the aims, objects, <br />and purposes of said "Floral Fiesta", and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it seems possible to hold annnallysuch a "Floral <br />F1estaU of ever growing interest and increasing value with each succeed- <br />ing year, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, :BE IT RESOLVED that the City Oouncil of Redwood <br />Oity hereby heartily endorses the work of the festival Oommittee, and <br />pledges its support for the coming year in endea.voring to create an in- <br />terest on the part of the people of the community to patronize a county <br />wide display of the nature of that just held, and <br /> <br />:BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ,that if such "Floral Fiesta" be held, <br />Redwood City shall set aside a day to be known as "HEDWOOD OITY DAY" at <br />the "FloraJ. Fiesta", and a week prior thereto, the streets of Redwood <br />Oity shall be decorated fittingly to c~l attention to the day. <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Oouncil <br />of the Oi ty of Redwood City at its regular meeting held on the 4th dq <br />of November, 1935, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br /> <br />Councilmen: L. O. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, R. N. Jones, <br />P. A. McCarthy, Geo. W. McNulty, Mayor, C. G.
