<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, AUXILIARY OF PENINSULA HOSPITALS has been organi zed by <br />prominent women of Redwood City and other parts of SoutheInSan Mateo County <br />to assist those in need of hospital care and who are unable immediately to <br />pay for it, and to carry on ~ractical social wOTIcln connection with the <br />hospitals of this region; and <br />WHEREAS, said Auxiliary of Peninsula Hospitals will supply in this <br />vicinity an important social economic and charitable need and is there- <br />fore to be encouraged and given approval by regularly constituted nublic <br />bodies; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED by the Ci ty Councii of the City of <br />Redwood City, that said Auxiliary and the organizers and members thereof <br />be commended in this new undertaking; <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, That this Council express ~ts gratitude and <br />appreciation to the organizers and members of said Auxiliary for their <br />public spirited action in promoting and developi~~ said Auxiliary to render <br />aid to worthy needy persons in this region; <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, That citizens of Southern San Mateo County whose <br />means or income enables them to contribute to the maintenance of said <br />Auxiliary be urged to give financial support to said Auxiliary to the end <br />that it may be enabled to accomplish its purposes with the promptness and <br />to the extent intended by the founders thereof; <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution, certified by <br />clerk of this Council be forwarded: to Mrs. Henry Beeger, secretary of said <br />AUXiliary. <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Council- <br />men L. C. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, Wrn. Hohn, Robert N. Jones, <br />Geo. W. McNulty, a.nd Mayor Paul A.. McCarthy. <br />
