AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> GREER GARDENS EXPANSION 2002/2003 <br /> <br /> (GREER GARDENS) <br /> <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Greer Gardens, ("Contractor") <br />(collectively the "Par~ies"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor will create 2.5 new permanent jobs with the expansion of <br />their horticultural company; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) from its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Service.agr <br />1 o/8/o2 <br /> <br /> <br />
