~ RESOLU~IqN RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redvvood Ci ty that \IVaI ter Vandervort be and he is hereby granted a permit for the term of two (2) years from the date hereof to operate bus lines over the following named streets a.nd avenues in the City of Redwood City, to-wit: Route 1: Beginning at Broadway at the Southern Pacific Railroad property near their depot and runrd_ng thence westerly on Broad.vray to Duane Street; northwesterly on Duane street to VVhipple Avenue; south- "\yesterly on Whipple Avenue to Hillview Avenue; southeasterly on Hillview Avenue to Brewster Avenue; northeasterly along Brewster Avenue to Broad- v/ay.; thence easterly along Broadway to the point. of begin..lling. Route 2: Commencing at James Avenue at the Southern Pacific depot, rUlll1.ing thence southwesterly along James Avenue to Ruby Street; thence easterly along Ruby street to Jefferson Avenue; thence northeasterly along Jefferson Avenue to El Camino Real; thence northwesterly along El Ce.mino Real to James Avenue; thence northeasterly along James Avenue to the point of beginn.ing. This permit is granted and accepte6 upon the following conditions, to-wit: a) That dxtring the time that this permit is in existence the fare upon any of the routes mentioned herein shall not exceed five (.05~) cents for a one-vray trip. b) The City of Redwood City shall, during any of the time this permit is in effect, have the right to purchase from the said Walter Van- dervort the business being conducted by him and shall pay therefor the -1-
