AGREEMENT <br /> for <br /> LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered as of the 18th day of December, <br />2002, by and between the SOUTH BAYSIDE SYSTEM AUTHORITY, a public <br />entity ("Authority") and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a chartered municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Authority is a public entity established by Joint Exercise of <br />Powers Agreement entered into by and among the Cities of Belmont, San <br />Carlos, and Redwood City, and the West Bay Sanitary District pursuant to the <br />provisions of Government Code Section 6500 et seq., for the purpose of <br />operating, maintaining and owning sanitary sewerage transmission, pumping, <br />treatment and disposal facilities for the sewerage service areas of the aforesaid <br />member agencies; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City, in performance of its municipal functions, provides <br />landscape maintenance services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Authority requires such services for its property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City represents that it is qualified to furnish such services in <br />accordance with the terms and conditions hereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> '1. CITY'S SERVICES. City shall furnish the landscape maintenance <br />services described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 2. COMPENSATION. Authority shall compensate City for services <br />rendered during the initial or any successive renewal term hereof in an amount <br />equal to the annual salary, including the value of fringe benefits, for the position <br />of Landscape Gardener, as that position is classified and described in City's <br />competitive service Or merit personal system, plus an amount equal to fifteen <br />percent (15%) of said salary and valuation of benefits for administrative <br /> <br /> sh\sh\sbsalndscpeAgmt120502r <br /> 12/05/02 <br /> DES:hs <br /> <br /> <br />
