96-~

Redwood C::2!V #

Verde

It's easy being green

Redwood City Verde is a collection of
programs, activities, tools, and ideas for
reducing energy and water use in your
home, neighborhood, and business.
It's all about sustainability and "going
green" in our community!

Together, as a community, we can reduce energy use and waste, reduce our community's
carbon footprint, take positive action to help protect our future from climate change,
and promote sustainability.
Visit www.redwoodcity.org/verde.

~ Your Home & Neighborhood
The group of programs under Redwood City Verde includes several to help make your home
more green. There are lots of ways you can make a difference for climate protection just by
taking small actions right in your house, and throughout your neighborhood.

~ Our Youth
Climate protection is an effort that will continue for generations to come. That's one reason
it's so important that our community's youth understand this threat to our environment, and
be provided with tools to be part of the solution.

~ Our Local Businesses
Whether large, medium, or small, our local businesses have a great opportunity to make a
real impact on climate protection. By reducing energy and water use, minimizing waste
generation, and preventing pollution, they will be doing their part in helping
our community to be as green as possible.

~ Redwood City's Municipal Operations
Redwood City is continually working to identify and address the environmental effects of
how the City itself conducts business, and researching the latest technologies and methods
for providing City services in an environmentally-friendly manner.
