Housing and Human Concerns Committee Fiscal Year 2009/2010 Funding <br /> Recommendations for the Redwood City Human Services Financial Assistance <br /> (HSFA) Program (companion report— no action required at this time). <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Direct staff to incorporate the Housing and Human Concerns Committee's <br /> recommendations for HSFA for Fiscal Year 09-10 into the Fiscal Year 09-10 <br /> budget to be presented for review by Council in June. HSFA recommendations <br /> are being presented this evening as part of an overall Annual Action Plan for the <br /> City's use of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds. <br /> The Council will take no action on the HSFA recommendations at this time. (404) <br /> Ms. Chin provided the report. Mayor Foust asked if she could have information on specific <br /> organizations and Ms. Chin will provide it. <br /> 9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> Council Member Pierce spoke about the State budget impacting local budgets. She would <br /> like a presentation on the various propositions that will be on the ballot but the meeting of <br /> May 18th would be too late. Council discussed the pros and cons of a possible <br /> presentation. It was agreed that the Mayor and Vice Mayor will discuss this matter. <br /> Mayor Foust announced that she was appointed to the San Francisco Bay Restoration <br /> Authority. She will report more on this at a later time. <br /> Council Member Ira is concerned about the propositions. He would like more impartial <br /> information (such as links) on our website. He mentioned the League of Women Voters as <br /> a source of unbiased information. <br /> Mayor Foust announced that the Council will adjourn to its next regular meeting on May <br /> 18, 2009. <br /> 10.
