~._..-".._~:.'J Q RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that whereas said Council did on the 19th day of May, 1941, pass and adopt a resolution determining that the City of Redwood City no longer desired to be a part of the County Free Library system; and WHEREAS, said Council did set June 16th, 1941, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the meeting place of the Council of said City of Redwood City in the City Hall on Middlefield Road as the time and place for a hearing on its contemplated action and as the time for a final hearing on said matter; and WHEREAS, as required by law a notice of said hearing was duly published in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper of general circulation, at least once a week for two successive weeks; and WHEREAS, said Council has now acquired jurisdiction to proceed with said matter, and said Council having fully considered the same and any and all objections, does hereby resolve that the City of Redwood City . no longer desires/to be a part of the County Free Library system and no longer desires to participate in the benefits thereof, and hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, to levy no further taxes against the property in the City of Redwood City for County Free Library purposes. Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, .1941, by the follow- ing vote: Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: Councilmen L.C.Christensen , E.A.
