(Second reading.) (703) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on November 17, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: CLAIRE/BUCItAN iNSTRUCT STAFF THAT THE METERS NOT BE <br /> INSTALLED UNTIL THE COUNCIL HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO <br /> EVALUATE WHETHER OR NOT PARKING METERS SHOULD BE <br /> REQUIRED, AND AT THAT POiNT IN TIME, ANY EXTRA COSTS WILL BE <br /> BORNE BY THE CITY (SEE PASSAGE BELOW) <br /> <br /> City Attorney Sehrieker said, "May I recommend there is a contingency <br /> that the Developer's time line would not be deterred by this action... (but) <br /> there should be an option that if it is timely, the developer would still pay. <br /> If that's the case.
