Section 38.5 of the Redwood City Nlunicipal Cvde is hereby amended in its entirety to read as foflows: Sec. 38.5. WATER SERViCE CHARGE: In addition #o a�l other charges and fees applicable to users of water #rom the water system owned or operated by the Citjr of Redwood City, as established by the Water Rules and Regulations of the Department of Pub(ic Works Senrices, as amended, and this chapter, residential and non-residential monthly water service charges shall be paid for each water service within the wafier senrice areas and at fihe rate and upon the effective dates as foflows: (a} Residen#iat Wa#er Service Charge, A monthly wa#er service charge for each dwelling unit or dwelling unifi equivalent ("DUE"} for each such unit used, or intended for use, as a singfe-family residential dwelling, irrespective of whether such service is furnished through a sing[e meter for multiple dwelling units or through individua{ meters for each dwelling unit, is hereby established as follows: Water Service Area Service Charqe er DUE* Per Allonth Effective Date; 0710'[1`09 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 $16.53 *DUEs shall be determined as follows: (i} A single-family residence consisting of one (1) independent dwelling unit on a parcel of proper�y shall be deemed 1 DUE; and (ii} Multi-family residences, consisting of more than one (1} dwelling unit on a parce! of property shali be deemed to consist of the number of DUEs deri�ed #rom applying the fo#lowing conversion #able: Multi-Famify Dwelling Unit Equivalent Conversion Schedule Conversion Schedule Residential Qweltinq Units per Residential Dwellin,g Uni# Atty/4rdlOrd.323 0519�9 '1
