<br />~ _ ,... ...c.. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />ACCEPTING BID FOR LEASE OF BAND INSTRUMENTS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City, pur- <br />suant to the provisions of Paragraph 18 of Section 3 of the <br />Charter of said city, has given public notice of ita intention <br />to lease certain band ins trumen ts belonging to a,aid c1 ty by <br />a call for bids for the lease thereof which was duly published <br />for the time and in the manner thereby prescribed; and <br />WHEREAS 128t.h 'Navs:l:,,:, Sons true tion Ba ttalion <br />of the United states Navy has made a written bid <br />for the lease of said instruments for the duration of the present <br />war and for six months thereafter in accordance with said publish- <br />ed call for bids, and said bid is the highest and best bid <br />therefor .; <br /> <br />RESOLVED that said bid for the hire and lease of said <br />band instruments for said period for a rent of <br />TEN DOLLARS for said period be and the same 1s <br />hereby accepted. Said band instruments are as follows: 1 Clarinet, <br />1 Glockenspiel (Bell Lyre), 1 set of Drums (1 Bass, 2 Snare., 1 <br />Set (2) Cymbals), 1 Bass Horn, 2 Tubas and 1, French Horn. The <br />City Manager is hereby directed to enter into a written agreement <br />for the lease of said band instruments in the form prepared and <br />submitted by the City Attorney and hereby approved. <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and <br />adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a meeting <br />thereof held on the 6th day of December, 1943, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolu- <br /> <br />ti on: <br /> <br />Councilmen: H.F .Anderson <br /> <br />, C.C .
