I live <br />on East Oakwood Blvd, located in the Redwood Oaks neighborhood. I am <br />writing to urge you to deny their application. <br />This location is at the intersection of Murray Court and Woodside Road. <br />Murray Court is a residential street built up of single family housing <br />units and an apartment building at the corner. There is no parking on <br />Woodside Road and therefore most of the massage clients will park their <br />cars on, already crowded, Murray Court. If I lived on that street, I <br />wouldn't want the clients that will be patronizing that busines~ hanging <br />around my neighborhood. I don't believe for one moment that this will be a <br />legitimate massage business, but will be, instead, a front for <br />prostitution. It would be inappropriate to allow a business like that to <br />operate in a residential neighborhood. It would also increase the traffic <br />on my road, East Oakwood, as people use our street to get from El Camino to <br />woodside Road. Because one cannot turn left onto Murray Court from <br />westbound Woodside Road people will be more likely to cut across <br />neighborhood streets like ours. <br /> <br />As I drive around my neighborhood, I can1t help but notice the high number <br />of massage businesses located.at our end of town. I suspected they were <br />probably offering more than massage but was still quite shocked when I <br />tried googling a few of them. Within 1/2 mile of my house are Aroma Spa, <br />Dermal Spa, and Siesta Massage. If you allow the business at 515 WooQside <br />Road t,o operate there will be one more. Also within this 1/2 mile radius <br />you will find the Secrets Adult Superstore and the Hankey Pankey, a nude <br />dance club. If I go out another 1/2 mile so that I'm counting everything <br />within a one mile radius of my house there's the Asian Massage, Woodside <br />Spa, Mayflower Massage, Tranquility Spa and Asian Relaxation Spa. Everyone <br />of these business are listed on My Red Book or the Guide to Erotic Massage, <br />which I discovered as I looked into this, are Bay Area guides to <br />prostitution. Several are even on the Yelp business review website. <br />These guides are very explicit on what kind of lIextras" one can get during <br />a massage. One can only hope that the women performing this kind of work <br />have chosen it freely and are of legal age. <br /> <br />Z really wonder at what point it was decided that our end of town would be <br />allowed to evolve into thecity's (or perhaps county's) red light district. <br />I have lived here almost 30 years and so am aware that prostitution has <br />always been a problem in this area but how many of these IIspas" do we need? <br />I find it hard to believe that police and other city officials are unaware <br />of this problem. I find it really creepy that men from allover the bay <br />area come to our end of town for sex. I understand that once these <br />1 <br />
